Darien Rodrigues|He is a dual-degree graduate in Physics and Electronics from BITS-Pilani K.K. Birla, Goa. He developed a penchant for medical technology during his final year, and has been involved in developing various biomedical technologies ever since. His interest in the field of medicine was spawned by the TV show House M.D. and the protagonist inspired him into learning the nuances of clinical medicine and its practice in India. Over the past couple of years, it dawned upon him that India severely lacks affordable, accessible and easy-to-use medical technology. This drives his passion to develop products that will bridge this gap and improve the quality of healthcare.
Dr Rohan D'Souza|
As a healthcare professional, he has encapsulated varied experiences in his career. A clinician by training from St Johns. Medical College, he then went on to be a Medical Advisor in Pfizer, in the Cardiovascular, Urology and Ophthalmology space. This was followed by a jump to Digital Medical Advisor at Pfizer, given his interest lay in digital health and medical technology. He nurtures an ambition to enable access to affordable & innovative value based healthcare using the convergence of Medical Sciences & Technology. He is an avid writer and blogger, digital health being his forte.
Ravi Jangir|A Product Designer with experience in executing design projects right from ideation to production. He has a varied experience in designing & engineering consumer & medical products. He worked as a faculty member at DSK International School of Design guiding and mentoring students in design methodology, materials & process, ergonomics, mock-ups and prototyping, etc. He is an expert in creative brainstorming, concept generation, product design, ethnographic research, user experience, human factors & ergonomics.
Rishabh Sirdesai|A Mechanical Engineer by training, he graduated from the Manipal Institute of Technology and has worked with some of the biggest names in healthcare such as GE Healthcare and Medtronic. Through these companies, he has worked with a wide spectrum of medical devices ranging from Neonatal Intensive Care to Cardiac Stents to Medical Imaging equipment. His primary research interests include surgical robotics and techniques to make it affordable for emerging markets and wearable vital sign monitoring sensors. He is currently pursuing his M.S. at Stanford.
Abu Saquib Tauheed|A Mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the healthcare industry, specifically medical devices and implants. He has over 9 years of professional experience in multiple industries and 6 years in healthcare, working on the design and development of Medical products ranging from orthopaedic implants to medical instruments with multinational companies such as Stryker. Prior to his tryst with healthcare he worked in multiple sectors which included work on modular furniture, blast furnaces, automobiles and in the aluminium industry. He has an innate talent for teaching, especially on topics in and around the design domain (CAD, GD & T, FEA).
Adithi Sarovar|An artist and a designer with robust experience in design thinking and concept generation, with skills honed over 4 years as a design entrepreneur and over 6 years as a freelance designer. Her range of skills include Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Product Design and Services and Systems Design. The USP of her design process balances creativity with practicality, always aiming for sustainable and innovative design solutions. Her healthcare experience has been in the field of maternal and child health with Sattva MedTech, working on a device designed for fetal monitoring.
Parul Chachra|She holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and loves research. After studying the origins of depression and anxiety for her thesis, she did her post-doctoral work at GE, where she tried to elucidate imaging biomarkers for mild traumatic brain injury. She is an IDEX global fellow and is working with InnAccel Technologies to help the organisation create a market for its innovative products, designed for India. She is passionate about working towards improving access and delivery of healthcare through innovative products and methods. As a trained wellbeing volunteer by National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, and a strong advocate of mental health, she strives toward creating awareness and eliminating stigma associated with mental illness.
